Born August 11, 1950 in San Jose, California, Stephen Gary Wozniak always had a gift for mathematics. Tinkering with electronics and designing new tech has always been a passion of his. Starting with the "Blue Box" in the early 70s he designed a device that hacked in telephone networks to avoid paying for long distance calls.
Steve Jobs, an old high school friend, worked with Wozniak to sell the "Blue Box" to other students. Wozniak, while working on a submitting microcomputer designs to Hewlett Packard(HP), showed Jobs a prototype. Jobs was so excited about the design that he decided that him and Wozniak should create a company, Apple Computer.
